🎨 Paint Guides & Coverage Calculator
Tips
- Clean and prime the surface first — primer improves adhesion and reduces the topcoats needed.
- Emulsion paints typically cover 100–120 sq ft per liter per coat on smooth plastered walls; rough surfaces need more.
- Apply at least 2 coats for even, lasting color, especially over darker existing colors.
- Use weatherproof paint on exterior walls to resist monsoon rain and UV fading.
- Let each coat dry fully (check the can's recoat time) before applying the next.

⚡ Electrical Guides
- Match wire gauge to load — undersized wiring overheats and is a fire risk. Ask our staff for the right cable size.
- Use an RCCB (residual current breaker) on bathroom, kitchen and outdoor circuits for shock protection.
- Size MCBs just above your circuit's expected load, not the wire's maximum rating.
- Label your distribution board circuits for easy troubleshooting later.
- Always switch off the main breaker before working on household wiring.
🚰 Plumbing Guides
- PVC pressure pipes are rated by class — use a higher class for main supply lines under constant pressure, lower class is fine for drainage.
- Use Teflon tape or thread seal on all threaded joints to prevent leaks.
- Slope drainage pipes at least 1–2% so wastewater flows freely without pooling.
- Install a gate valve near the water meter and at each major fixture, so repairs don't require cutting the whole supply.
- Insulate exposed outdoor pipes to avoid pressure or temperature damage.

🔧 Tool Guides
- Match drill/driver voltage and chuck size to the job — bigger masonry or steel jobs need higher-torque tools like RONIX impact drills.
- Always wear eye protection when using grinders, cutters or drills.
- Match cutting discs and drill bits to the material (masonry, wood, metal) — the wrong bit shortens tool life and gives poor results.
- Fully charge cordless tool batteries before big jobs and store them at room temperature to extend battery life.
- Clean and oil moving parts (chucks, gears) periodically to keep tools running smoothly.
